Grass Fed Lamb

These lambs are raised from birth by Ethan and Abby (the second Elzinga daughter) and finished by Glenn and Caryl. Lambs are raised alongside their mothers on the certified organic regenerative pastures of Alderspring Ranch.

Similar to Alderspring Ranch beef, lambs are given a choice of nutrient-dense highly diverse grasses and forbs, resulting in a complex but mild flavor. No golf-course continuous overgrazing: during the grazing season, these sheep are rotated several times per week to improve biodiversity in pastures and maintain excellent animal health. 

Our lamb is 100% grass-fed & grass-finished and never given grain, supplements (other than free choice minerals and apple cider vinegar), antibiotics or hormones. Our grass-fed and finished lamb is as good for you as it is delicious: packed with omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E and B-12, beta-carotene, zinc, and iron. It also contains twice the lutein of grain-fed lamb. This naturally occurring antioxidant, closely related to beta-carotene, is more easily absorbed by the body and has been linked to a lower risk of macular degeneration — a leading cause of blindness — as well as possible protection against breast and colon cancer.
