Scratch and Dent? It's not only for used cars! Alderspring Wild protein has its own version: It's 17 pounds of variety for an unheard of price: $11 a pound. The fact is that it these cuts are what we eat on the ranch every day: they're not the prettiest, but we know they'll be good eating on our table. In a word, this package provides sustenance and nutrition, and I know from hearing from many of you (our partners) that it is exactly what you are looking for. Limit 1 per customer.

Why can we offer this at a price that's lower than ground beef? It's because each package has issues such as:

The vacuum pack is not sealed properly. The meat is still perfectly safe to eat, but there is air in the package that causes this meat to freezer-burn more quickly. We won't send you anything but very recent inventory that hasn't had time to freezer-burn, but you will need to eat these cuts more quickly before flavor is impacted! We also paper-wrap these well before we put them in your box to prevent any further damage in transit (exactly the same paper-wrap method our butcher paper-wrapped hams, lamb racks and tomahawk steaks always have).
We might send you a cut that has a perfectly fine vacuum pack, but it's an "odd item out" where we only have a few of this particular cut and it wasn't worth creating a new product to post it online.
We may put a cut in the box that is full of goodness and wellness but eye appeal does not cause joy by appearance alone (but likely will upon eating)! Our beef is all hand-cut by expert butchers, but even experts make mistakes! The result is a wonky-looking cut we can't send as premium beef, but there's no difference in nutritional value here!

What you can expect in each box: you'll get 1 or 2 lbs of ground beef (could be specialty grind like round, sirloin or brisket), and never more than 2 of each out of a myriad of other possibilities such as sausage, hot dogs, stew, kabobs, steak cuts, lamb, Korean ribs (1 pack only), a small roast (one only) pork, oxtail and even Sockeye salmon (all of these things are already sold by us on our a la carte webstore). Don't expect ribeyes, New Yorks or filets in the pack; we're saving those for the 3Fs!

Nearly all beef in the pack is our certified organic grass fed beef (there may an occasional cut from a 16th beef that we raised... see our 16th page if you are wondering how it was grown). Pork and sockeye may not be certified organic. Pork was raised on Lifeline Farms (organic in Montana) or here on our ranch on pastures (visit the pork page to learn more about the pastured pork process), and the sockeye was wild-caught in Alaska by a small crew of fisherman we partner with.

Because I love serving all of you, I'd like to say I would happily custom pick out exactly what your preferences are, but for these packs we can't accommodate requests. It's because I pre-make these packages before you even order. But, like all of our Alderspring webstore offerings, we 100% guarantee your happiness. These SDS products might not be fantastic objects of perfection and beauty, but they do offer some of the best sustenance and wellness value on the planet. So here it is. SDS: 17 lbs. $187.
